As you may know from reviewing our website, I am brokering the sale of Carl Palmer's original Billy Gladstone drum set (see the photo here, and also see the listing for that historic set here: http://www.maxwelldrums.com/carl-palmers-billy-gladstone-drum-p-5910.html ). That beautiful white marine pearl 4 pc kit inspired me to pay tribute to the two greatest names in drum building, Billy Gladstone and Johnny Craviotto, and so we decided it was time for a kit like this with Johnny's famous solid shells. We're going to make only 4 of these sets (since Billy only built 4 sets in his lifetime, that seemed like a good number for us to do). Each set will be 9x13, 16x16, 14x22, 6.5x14 and wrapped in vintage white marine pearl finish just like the Gladstone kit. And, the toms and BD will have wood hoops with inlays, just like the Gladstone set. The snare drum will be built out with metal hoops just like the Gladstone, but we'll also include a set of matching wood hoops with inlays. Each set will be $8450.
