A 1960s era Gretsch kit. This kit has several issues that put it in the "player's grade" category. Here's the play-by-play:
14x20" Bass Drum - Modern-style Ludwig spurs have been installed, leaving open holes from the original spurs. The badge, Pratt muffler, and rail consolette have all been removed. The rail consolette holes have been plugged. The resonant side hoop is a replacement. There is a 3" strip of inlay missing from the batter side hoop. Modern heads fit very tightly on the shell.
8x12" Tom - Bearing edges have been re-cut. The original diamond plate has been removed and the holes plugged. Both mufflers have been removed. One hoop is a triple-flanged steel replacement. Modern heads are a snug fit.
14x14" Floor Tom - Bearing edges have been re-cut. One hoop is a triple-flanged steel replacement. Modern heads are a snug fit. The drum has been re-wrapped in blue sparkle pearl.
Overall, this is a good sounding kit that, with a little attention, could be made into a well functioning kit for a studio, practice space, or gigging situation. In all-original condition, this kit would be in the $3000-$3200 range.
