This is a Slingerland steel shell snare with the TDR snare mechanism, which was developed with the help of Buddy Rich in the 1970s as a resopnse to the Rogers Dynasonic and Fibes SFT snare systems. The bottom stick-saver has been replaced with a generic triple-flanged hoop.
