This cymbal has a lot of cutting power, and would be a versatile addition to someone’s collection. It is of a medium weigh, and has a lot of high overtones. There is some complexity, and as usual, a very controllable wash. Paiste cymbals are often like this, and concurrently work very well in the studio. This cymbal has the hammering pattern like one of the early pre serial number 602’s. It must have been one of the very late Ludwig Standard cymbals.
