Steve’s Notes: Here’s a great set of hi hats with a cool back story: From 2007 til 2014 I managed Charlie Watts’s drum collection in London, including drums from some of the greatest jazz drummers of all time, who were his heroes. (That’s an entire fun story in and of itself, and I’ll write more about that at some future point). But I digress….

In 2012 the Stones were preparing for their 50th anniversary tour, and they were going to rehearse in a location outside NYC. Charlie called and asked me to supply a kit and cymbals for the rehearsals. I personally delivered the drums and cymbals to the rehearsal space and set them up, and then picked them up when they were finished several days later. I no longer have the drums, but I was looking through my personal cymbal stack the other day and found these. These were the 14” A Zildjian New Beats that Charlie used for the rehearsals. The cymbals are 850g top and 1275g bottom. I had marked each one with “CW” under the bell as shown. And, to be 100% clear, these were NOT used on the 2012 50th Anniversary tour. These were used for the tour rehearsals only. Nice chance for someone to pick up a great piece of Charlie Watts memorabilia. Check out the listing here:
