Craviotto Kit #500! This is a brand new entry in the Craviotto line. The Tonal Balance series is based on a design Johnny experimented with back in 2006. The concept revolves around true one ply steam bent solid shells, but with shallower depths than regular toms. The concept here provides for the standard wide tuning range and incredible resonance of Johnny's solid shells, and offers the quick response associated with shallower depths. The result is a kit that is sonically superb and ideally suited for small venues where space is at a premium, but you need the finest quality sound. And, it is also superb for recording studios as well since the drums sound full and rich and are easy to tune and EQ with the shallow depths. The kit shown here is a solid shell maple kit in beautiful red sparkle lacquer with inlay. The toms sizes are 5x10, 6x12, 7x14, 8x15, and the bass drum is a 10x18 which is incredible sounding and really responds quickly with the shallow depth. No sacrifycing full rich sound with these shallower depths thanks to Johnny's world class solid shell craftsmanship. The set comes with 5.5x14 snare as well. 45 degree edges for full articulation and response. This is an incredible kit and it is kit #500. This set as shown is $12,240 since it has an extremely expensive custom sparkle lacquer finish with inlay. Normal pricing in a satin oil on maple shells with inlay would be in the range of $8000. The same in maple with a standard sparkle lacquer without inlay would be in the range of $9300 so call to dicsuss finsh options.
