11/1/12: Thankfully, our staff and our shop were all safe and did not sustain any damage and as of today, 11/1, we're back with a skeleton staff until the rest of the team has access to transit systems. We're very short handed now, but we hope to be fully staffed by Sat or at the latest Monday 11/5. I am in Illinois working remotely to assist. I will not be in NY the week of 11/5 as planned, because my NY residence is under mandatory eviction due to the crane incident on 57th, but I am available by cell and email as always.
We want to offer our support to the music community in this time of need. I have already heard from one friend of the shop who has lost all instruments that were in his rehearsal space. I'm sure there are others as well since we're just starting to try to realize the extent of the damage. In this post-hurricane scenario we offer the following to people who have been adversely impacted by the storm:
- I will assist if you need information such as replacement values etc for your insurance.
- If your rehearsal space was destroyed or is without power, we will try to accommodate you at the shop and we'll waive the normal rehearsal space fees.
- If you are in need of replacement instruments we will provide them at the lowest possible cost in order to help you.
- If you're still without power and are up in the area come in and recharge your cell phones and get a cup of espresso.
We appreciate the loyalty that our customers have for our shop and in this time of need we want to give back and help. Feel free to call me any time on my cell at 630-865-6849.
